Every night, before we put the kids to bed, we read the scriptures, sing a hymn, and say a prayer as a family. Rebecca and I had discussed how since we listened to four hours of general conference today, we would skip the scriptures in our nightly routine. As it got closer to bedtime, we had the kids get in their pajamas and brush their teeth. We then started to gather them all together for a family prayer. As we did so, Elliott (2), looking very concerned, started saying "scriptures" over and over again.
Elliott is my superhero today for reminding us of the importance of reading scriptures as a family.
